The Friends of Brown Clee School (FOBCS) exists for the benefit of all the children at Brown Clee School, to provide equipment and to support events that would not otherwise be available. For this purpose, we organise a wide range of social events and other fund-raising activities.

As a school parent/carer you are automatically a member of FOBCS and we always welcome new faces at our meetings.  FOBCS can only work well if there are people who are willing to volunteer to help at an event or even organise it.  For a small school we have raised a lot of money over the past few years and are looking for some fresh ideas.

Finally, don't forget www.easyfundraising.org.uk when you are doing your on-line shopping.  This has to be the easiest way to fund-raise ever.  Shop on-line (with many favourite stores to choose from) and raise money for FOBCS, with no extra expense to you.

Look out for updates on the school newsletter and the school noticeboard.

If you would like to learn more or volunteer please contact the school.

Wanted Filmmaker!

Are any parents handy with a camcorder?  We have found a company which can edit footage of the nativity and put it on CD to buy but it would reduce the costs if a parent could film the nativity for them to edit!  Performances will be in the afternoon of 13 December and evening of 14 December. Please contact fobcs1994@gmail.com if you want to be in the running for an Oscar!

FOBCS Bake Day

A cake sale will be held at 2pm on Friday 25 November.  Please could children bring in 4-6 cakes to sell (homemade is better but bought is also fine!) and £1 each to buy?  FOBCS will supervise the sale, children will help serve and parents are welcome from 3.15pm.  Children get to choose a selection of cake from those on sale, put them in a tagged and labelled freezer bag and bring them home for later.  Help us make this fundraiser a success.

Roll Up For The Raffle etc

FOBCS will hold a raffle for a selection of hampers and a brace of pheasant on the nativity days of 13 and 14 December.  We need donations of items please to make up these hampers ie Chocolates, drinks, gifts, sweets….the choice is yours!

It would be great if you could also donate mince pies and mulled wine.  These items can be left in the box in the Reception porch area from next week.  We will also need volunteers to help sell refreshments at the Nativity Events.  Please let a member of FOBCS or Louise in the School office know if you can help.  Thank you so much for your support.

Ditton Christmas Church Fete 2-4pm Saturday 3 December

FOBCS will have a stall with face painting and glitter tattoos as well as "guess the name of the giant teddy"!

Come along and join us

Christmas Dress Down

On the last day of term, Friday 16 December, children can come to school dressed in a seasonal outfit or Christmas jumper!  Please can each child then donate £1 for FOBCS funds.
