About Us

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Brown Clee CE Primary School. If your child is joining us for the first time, we welcome you as parents or carers and look forward to a happy and successful association over the coming years. If you already have a child here, we are pleased to cement these links between us. We hope your child will have a happy and rewarding time here before moving on and continuing their education.

Brown Clee is a modern school built in 1994 which is set in the beautiful countryside of south Shropshire. The school is situated at the foot of Brown Clee Hill.

We believe that children attending our school are given the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge, imagination and confidence for them to continue with their education, and find their place in society through the creation of a stimulating and attractive learning environment. We also encourage tolerance, respect and a sense of responsibility amongst the pupils. Pupils of all levels of ability are encouraged to reach their full potential whether their gifts are academic, sporting or creative.

As from September 2015 we now offer a Before and After school Careclub in addition to our normal extended school activity  provision.

You will find more information if you use the links above.

We hope you enjoy navigating around the website. We do encourage you to visit the school as part of your decision making process. Please contact the school administrator, Mrs L Harman, on 01746 712652 to make an appointment to view the school.

Mr A Spreadborough, Headteacher

Our Mission Statement

Brown Clee Primary is a Church of England voluntary controlled school with close ties to St John the Baptist Church and other churches in the Brown Clee Group.  We aim to preserve and develop the religious character of the school in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and to serve our local communities by providing an education of the highest quality.  We encourage an understanding of the meaning of faith, and promote Christian values through the experiences we offer to our children.

Forest Schools

We are very proud of the opportunity the children have to learn outside, with access to a Forest School site in the school grounds as well as garden areas. The school also has access to the neighbouring farm where the children grow vegetables in an allotment and poly tunnel. There is also a large Forest Schools site on the farm the older children use. There are a variety of extended schools activities tailored to the wishes of our children.
